2016 World Energy Congress will be hosted by Istanbul

It has been reported Istanbul has been awarded to host the congress in 2016 of the World Energy Council.

Süreyya Yücel Özden, the Chairperson of the World Energy Council Turkey National Committee announced the news and said Istanbul was going to host the event in 2016.

The World Energy Council congresses takes place every three years. The 2007 congress was held in the Italian capital Rome and the 2010 congress in Montreal, Canada.

Next year’s congress will take place in Deagu, South Korea.
