Ak Party announces victory in local elections
It is reported that AK PARTY has once again won the 2014 local elections with 45 percent of the votes.
The ruling party has also won in Istanbul and Ankara. However, opposition has kept its place in the other third big city, Izmir with a solid majority.
A prominent Ak Parti member has remarked that the people came out to the ballot boxes today in a show of support for their will in the city of Istanbul. He has also added that although the public has had to contend with a multitude of manipulation attempts, the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party still came out the victors in Istanbul. He has also said that those who were seeking a different result in Istanbul, have once again failed to win over the metropols
