Announcement from US Embassy regarding visa situation for Turkish citizens

It seems that the visa crisis between the USA and Turkey after the arrest of Metin Topuz, a US Consulate employee under the investigation of the FETO investigation, has not come to an end yet,. The USA Embassy in Ankara has made a very interesting announcement to verify this. The embassy has announced visa for Turkish citizens will not be granted before January 2019.

US Embassy has informed that the earliest visa appointment date for non-immigrant Turkish citizens will be January 2019.

The Embassy made the announcement via Twitter account. It was also stated in the announcement that applications could be made in countries other than Turkey.

Thus, the Embassy has officially announced the continuation of visa restrictions.
