Barzani: “The people of Kurdistan should know whatever required will be done”

Barzani makes statement regarding Iraqi intervention in Northern Iraq

Mesud Barzani, the head of Iraq’s Kurdish Regional Government, used the expressions “Kurdistan people should know what that whatever required will be done” regarding the incidents in the region recently. According to Rudaw, Barzani’s statements were as follows:

“Throughout history, the rights of the people of Kurdistan have been violated and persecuted. Throughout history, the Kurdish people have been subjected to massacres and genocide in the name of protecting their identity. The people of Kurdistan should know what that whatever required will be done”

“The people of Kurdistan have never wanted war by taking peaceful steps. But we were exposed to wars. All our efforts were to  reach our goal peacefully. Our primary goal was always to stand up and defend the rights of the people of Kurdistan. Incidents experienced in Kirkuk happened because of decisions made by some politicians and individuals in Kurdistan. “
