Turkish construction and housing sector is no doubt the locomotive of the Turkish economy. The sector is also very important due to the positive contribution it provides for the employment issue in the country. Despite some troubled periods in the past it has always been the leading source to support the Turkish economy.

This sector has also benefitted from sales to foreigners in the last decade and Turkey has welcomed many foreigners wishing to buy houses and settle down in this country, British subjects to be in the first place. It is no wonder that more and more foreigners come over and decide to stay in this country as their second home (and sometimes the first) as they can get adapted to the way of life with the extraordinary hospitality of local people. This demand created by our foreign friends brings about an impact on prices as well, and especially in regions preferred by foreigners such as Fethiye, Bodrum etc. On the other hand thankfully, the construction sector is right at work in same regions and many new houses and villas etc. are being built for anybody to make a pleasing purchase at the end of the day.

To ensure an enjoyable & profitable purchase it would be best to find a reputable/expert company to consult before making the purchase. Among such establishments TURKEY HOMES offers advantages such as  possessing a good enough knowledge of the country, offices in Turkey & business experience in the sector for many years.

The situation is not very different in other parts of the country and a lot of houses are sold each and every day. To provide an idea for instance, 140298 houses were sold in Turkey, in September 2017, based on reports by Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). This shows that house sales increased by 28.8% in September 2017 compared to the same month of the previous year.

Istanbul had the highest share of house sales with 16.7% and 23 471 sold house. This mega town was followed by Ankara with 13 945 house sales and 9.9% and İzmir 7 575 house sales and 5.4%.
