Experts forecast dollar TL rate for year-end at 3,50-3,60
Finance experts say that the dollar/TL rate will not incur a major change despite attempts for 3,58-3,60 rate. Indicating that the third interest rate increase in the US is to be realized this year and balance downsizing will start in September, experts predict Turkey will still be disintegrating among the developing countries with 12 percent interest in TL assets.
On the other hand a fast balance downsizing is not to be expected and a minimum of 6-6.5% KGF originated quarterly local growth could be forecasted. It has been observed that the Central Bank will not take strong steps on the loosening side and thus the fund inflows could be expected to remain stable at worst, provided the positive influence in growth and the interest rates remain at 12%
Experts say “When the exchange rate forecasts of large banks are examined, we can see that the expectation for the end of the year may be between 3.50-3.60, with the 3.58-3.60 attacks, but that does not change the main picture” .
