Felicity Party Chairman says minimum wage should not be below hunger limit.

Felicity Party Chairman Temel KARAMOLLAOGLU underlined that the minimum wage should not be below the hunger limit. He said, “The hunger limit is TL 2,012 and the poverty limit is TL 6849.  If the minimum wage doubles, the domestic market will double. Today’s unemployment will not stay at this level. ”

The chairman went on to say;

“Revival of the domestic market would cause the economy to revive and this would lead to a substantial increase in investments. An improvement in investments on the other hand, would help to strengthen Turkey. This way, our country would start growing behind the limits of our imagination.

The hunger limit is 2 thousand 12 TL and the poverty limit is 6 thousand 849 TL. What really upsets and amazes us is that the minimum wage is discussed at the hunger line level. The administration has put the people “on the hunger line”, in a difficult position. This ruling power does not care about the livelihood of families. They always complain about the budget deficit. Well, the administration needs to get rid of waste of resources in the first place, in order to increase resources. I think this is a cruelty to the working person. Normally, a working person must earn a wage to make a living. Work on and determine an inflation-free minimum wage increase. Internal consumption is one of the most important factors. If the minimum wage doubles, the domestic market will double. Unemployment today will not stay at this level. Government revenues will increase.”

Karamollaoğlu also said, “the number one issue that has brought down Turkey today, is corruption and investments made without feasibility. Turkey’s economy is unattended. We can see that Turkey’s economy is not running.
