Global “Cement Company” opens €140 m factory in Central Anatolian city of Sivas
VOTORANTIM CEMENT, one of Brazil‘s leading cement producers, opened a production facility on July 5th with an ivestment of € 140 million in Sivas province of Central Anatolia.
Regarding the facility, it was established in 1938 and claimed to be the first plant built by the state following the foundation of the Turkish Republic. The group modernized the factor with the main target to expand in the region Turkey is located. It is reported that the group has other production facilities in Turkey.
VOTORANTIM General Manager DISSINGER said that Turkey had a great growth potential in construction and export and the group targeted to invest €8.5 million euros in Turkey, in 2017. GM went on to say that Turkey had a high-quality workforce and in light of these important opportunities, the group had made the biggest investments outside of America, in Sivas.
