It looks as if Google could face an issue in Turkey as the Competition Board has decided to start an investigation about Google Advertising and Marketing Ltd. Ltd, Google International LLC, Google LLC, Google Ireland Limited and Alphabet Inc.

According to the announcement on the website of the Competition Authority, the Competition Board concluded a preliminary investigation on the claim that Google misusing its dominant position in the general call services market and puts forward its own local search service in a way that excludes its competitors.

Negotiating the information, documents and findings obtained in the preliminary research, the Competition Board found that the findings were serious and adequate and decided to open an investigation to determine whether Google violated Article 6 of the Act no 4054.

Google had faced similar unfavorable cases in other countries as well earlier and was obliged to pay serious amounts of money for fines.

It is no secret that the giant search engine company is the one and only world leader without any doubt and has the power of imposing its principles and preferences on the world of internet as it wishes.

Still, one cannot do without thinking “It’s a good job we have Google, because it makes life easy for us all – well, at least for billions who are aware of this fact”.
