Istanbul Stock Exchange (BIST 100) closes at 107,921.34 with a gain of 4.21 percent

In the period 4-9 December 2017, BIST Financial Index increased by 5.76 percent to 127.913,21, Industrial Index with 3.43 percent to 120.138.62 pounds, Services Index increased by 2.73 percent to 77.538.94 and Technology Index increased by 1 percent to 133,757.65 points. Banking Index rose to 159,992.37 with an increase rate of 6.05 percent.

Transturk Holding was the highest rising stock and the company’s shares enjoyed 67.65 percent gain.

The most valuable companies of Istanbul Stock Exchange were listed as Koç Holding with TL 44 billion 581 million 086 thousand 839, Garanti Bank with TL 42 billion 210 million and Akbank with TL 36 billion 560 million.

The market closed the week with loss in dollar and euro. The selling price of the dollar fell by 2.42 percent to 3.83 Turkish liras, while the sales price of euro decreased by 3,33 percent to 4,5050. On the other hand, the British pound, which was 5.3010 lira last week, increased by 2.74 percent to 5 TL.

As for gold, the sales price of 24-carat gold bullion traded in Grand Bazaar became 154.20 liras with a decrease of 4.22 percent and the selling price of Cumhuriyet gold went down to 1032 liras with a decrease of 4.18 percent.
