Lütfi Elvan, development minister says inflation will to 7 percent in Turkey

Development Minister Lütfi Elvan said “We will see the inflation in a downward trend in the coming months and I think we will go down to around 7 percent in the first two months of 2018,”  He also said that the Turkish economy would show a growth rate of over 7 percent in the third quarter of 2017 and said “I believe we will have a performance of above 5 percent, looking at the year as a whole.

Minister Elvan, speaking at a ceremony said that Turkey’s performance since 2002 has shown the whole world that its economy is sitting on solid basis. He noted that Turkey had faced internal and external economic shocks over the last 15 years at different times, but he the country had a development level that had succeeded to overcome all of them.

Elvan said leading indicators showed that the economy was on the right path and added “Our economy is established on solid basis and we are moving ahead with determination.

Hopefully we will see a growth of more than 7 percent In the third quarter of 2017 and a performance of above 5 percent, looking at the year as a whole.
