Tomato exports to Russia

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said the Russian government was ready to negotiate imports of tomatoes from Turkey with a limited supply group. According to the Interfax news agency, Dvorkovich said it was only a recommendation because it was not approved by the Russian government, yet.

The two countries have been trying to establish the old trading volume after the unfortunate incident of 2015. The Agriculture Ministry of Russia has made necessary infrastructure preparations and studies in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock to open the way for a satisfactory trading volume between two countries, again.

Although it is known to be difficult to provide a solid schedule for tomato exports to start again, parties are convinced and hopeful that a positive decision will be taken before long.
