Skytrax names Turkish Airlines best in Europe

As part of a survey conducted by global aviation research organization Skytrax, the Turkish Airlines (THY) has been named as the winner of three categories, namely, the Best Airline in Europe, the Best Airline in Southern Europe and the Best Premium Economy Class Airline Seats.

These three awards were received by THY Director General Temel Kotil at a ceremony which was held yesterday in Farnborough, Britain.

The survey polled over 18 million airline passengers from 100 countries.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted said, “Turkish Airlines continues to consolidate its position as one of the world’s leading airlines and the awards they have received today for Best Airline in Europe and the Best Airline in Southern Europe demonstrate their continued popularity amongst passengers.”

For his part, Kotil said that THY aimed at ranking the first in the world.
