The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) releases inflation figures for September 2017

Based on figures data circulated by TUIK, consumer price index (TÜFE) went up by 0.65 percent and domestic producer price index (Yİ-UFE) went up by 0.24 percent in September 2017. Annual inflation became 11.20 percent in consumer prices and 16.28 percent in domestic producer prices.

In August TUFE had increased by 0.52 percent, a rate above market expectations and annual inflation had risen again to 10.62 percent after a one-month break.

According to the Medium Term Program (OVP) announced last week, experts forecast TÜFE will be recorded at 9.5 percent by the end of the year.
