Tofas Automobile Factory stops production to take 9-day break
TOFAŞ reported that it will take a 9-day break to production due to the contraction in the domestic market. TOFAS is one of the major automotive companies in Turkey with huge production and export capacity. It manufactures for brands such as for Citroen, Peugeot, Opel and Vauxhall brands, on top of its Fiat production.
It is reported that TOFAS Bursa factory will take 9 days break from production due to the domestic market shrinkage as a result of some economic difficulties Turkey has gone through recently.
In a statement to KAP TOFAS said, “As a result of the recent recession in the domestic market, our company’s Bursa plant will be stopped for a total of 9 business days on different days in October”.
