Historical Background of the Company
1937…Tolon Machinery was founded by Kamil Tolon.. produced the first textile purpose machines in Turkey.
1948…Kamil Tolon kept on developing new projects with its experience and knowledge and he designed Turkey’s first centrifugal water pump.
1949…Tolon founded The Turkish board of Innovators.
1950…Besides manufacturing Turkey’s first hand tools, Tolon started to produce the first home type washing machines and dish washers. With its successful sales and after sales services, Tolon gained big success (One of the washing machines produced back in those days can be visited in Rahmi KOÇ Museum).
1952…Turkey’s first electric engine (0,35 kW – 35 kW) was designed and produced at Tolon premises.
1969 İZMİR …Dara Tolon, son of Kamil Tolon and the brain force behind Tolon machinery moved to Izmir city and gained new achievements. Tolon started to produce industrial washer-extractors, dryers and ironers

1985…Besides producing industrial laundry equipments, Dara Tolon concluded his studies on the textile sector and gave a start to the production of stone washing and bleaching machines for denim sector.
1986…The first flatwork ironers innovated in Turkey which specified for both drying and ironing process was produced by Tolon..
1987…Due to increasing demands, export activities have gained a new dimension with the sales to Germany and Holland.
1993…By moving to its new 10.000m2 plant, Tolon increased its actual production capacity. Experienced sales team and after-sales services can reach to anywhere in Turkey.
1999-2010 with the 3rd generation, Tolon washer & extractors machines kept on gaining new achievements. The production of COMBI, which combines a washer & extractor and a dryer in one machine and operates in an area of only 1m2, started.
