Towel exports from Turkey to USA increases by 23 percent to US$ 55 million




Towel exports made from Denizli to the USA reached 55 million dolars with an increase of 23 percent in the 8 months period. Based on data provided by DENİB (Denizli Exporters’ Association) in the first seven months 2017, US$ 290 million worth of towels were exported from this town which had achieved a towel export figure of US$ 496 million last year.



There was a significant increase in the share of the US and Canada in total exports realized. Towel exports to the US in January-August period increased by 23 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching US$ 55 million, while exports to Canada reached US$ 5 million with an increase of 30 percent. Traditional markets such as Germany and France followed a horizontal trend in export figures.

It is reported that Turkey is the second in the home textiles in Europe and the fourth in the world markets.

As Turkish towels have a good reputation in the world with better quality and service understanding, they are sold in all EU countries. Talking about towels, Turkish towels come to mind first in Europe and many other parts of the world.
