Treasury Minister Albayrak meets with directors of 11 largest finance institutions in the world
Berat Albayrak – Economy Minister, Turkey

Treasury and Finance Minister Berat ALBAYRAK has held separate talks with the president and senior representatives of 11 of the world’s largest financial institutions in London, managing assets worth $ 15 trillion. Mr. Albayrak completed his contacts in London with one-to-one meetings he had with finance circles.

Albayrak who held talks with UK Finance Minister Philip Hammond and State Minister Sir Alan Duncan, also had separate meetings with heads and senior representatives of the world’s largest 11 financial institutions.

In meetings with top executives of companies who manage assets worth US$ 15 trillion, Albayrak shared facts about Turkey’s economic stability and the policies it will implement within a more robust strategic plan in detail as well as the 15-year success story of the country.

Just to recall, Turkey has had economic problems recently and the Turkish lira has lost substantial value against US dollar – and other currencies, obviously. However, the administration led by President Erdoğan has always conveyed the message the country’s financial system (to include banks in the first place) is robust and there is no need to panic.
