Tupras, Turkey’s petrochemical giant makes TL 495 million net profit in first half 2019

Tupras Petrochemical Company which is the largest in its sector in Turkey has announced that it increased its production by 11 percent to 6.9 million tons in second quarter of 2019, compared to the same period of the previous year. The company’s profit for the first 6 months was announced as TL 495 million.

It was announced that these successful results were obtained was thanks to the fact the company always supported its activities with its strong balance sheet and effective financial risk management policies. It was also noted that Tupras had thus continued to stick to its responsibility and met the needs of the sector for oil.

Planned maintenance started at Tüpraş Izmit Refinery’s Fuel Oil Conversion Facility on 26 February 2019 planned maintenance. Luckily it was completed 14 days before planned and departments began production at full capacity.

Despite concerned pause the production amount increased by 11 percent in the second quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of the previous year and was realized as 6.9 million tons.
