Turkey issued investment certificates worth US$ 5 billion for 270 tourism projects in 2018
Based on data provided by Ministry of Industry and Technology a fixed investment amount of 5 billion pounds for 270 tourism investment incentive certificate was organized, last year. Of these investments, 209 new projects accounted for TL 4 billion 244 million.
On the other hand it is forecasted that an employment opportunity for 11 thousand 177 people would be available when said investments are completed. 259 of concerned projects are to be realized with domestic capital while 11 will be completed with foreign capital.
Last year, the region that received the most incentive certificate for tourism investments was Marmara region with 66 units. It was followed by the Mediterranean region with 56 incentive certificates, Black Sea with 53 documents and Ege region with 45 documents.
Within the scope of the investment incentive certificate; various support items such as “VAT exemption, tax discount rate, insurance premium employer’s share support, interest support, insurance premium support, income tax withholding support, allocation of investment place” are provided.
