Turkey conducts military operation in Syria's Idlib

Turkey’s President ERDOGAN has announced in his address to journalists today that Turkey has started carrying out an operation via FSA (Free Syrian Army) against extremist groups in Syria‘s northwestern Idlib province. Erdoğan also added that Turkish troops had not been actively involved in the operation “yet” but they were providing support for FSA troops.

Turkey’s President did no fail to remind once again that Turkey would not allow establishment of a new terror corridor along its Syrian border and nor would Turkey abandon its fellow brothers who came to IDLIB fleeing from Aleppo.

Speaking at the conference held by his political party in Afyonkarahisar province in western Turkey ERDOGAN answered the questions forwarded by journalists. The President stated that Turkey and Russia were to take care of the region together and also Turkey had taken necessary measures to ensure security of people living in the region.

ERDOGAN said the operation in IDLIB was a serious one and it would continue adding Turkey was responsible for the interior zone and Russia was to take care of outer zone.
