Turkey's TMSF bosses 1019 companies with an employee number of 50 thousand people

SDIF (Savings Deposit Insurance Fund, TMSF in Turkish) manages 1,019 companies which are administered by caretakers appointed by the government. A total number of 50 thousand people work at these companies. An official for the SDIF has said that the SDIF has been appointed to administer 1,019 companies and see to it these companies continue their commercial activities until the courts in charge rule.

The official also indicated that they could use their authority for sales or liquidation of such companies if their sustainability became questionable.

According to said report, the official also stated that active assets of these 1,019 companies had increased by 5.5 percent and their turnovers had increase by 30 percent. The official added that the employment numbers of these companies had not decreased and the situation was better than in the past. it was removed again.

Following the coup attempt in July last year, the government had assigned trustees to many companies, including Boydak Holding, Kaynak Holding, Koza Ipek Holding, Dumankaya and Fi Yapı, which were found to have links to the “FETÖ terror organization responsible for the failed coup attempt.

SDIF is a GOVERNMENTAL BODY established to ensure savings deposits and participation funds in order to protect the rights of depositors and contribute to the confidence and stability of the banking system and also resolve the banks and assets transferred to it in the most proper way.
