Ruhsar Pekcan, Turkey’s Trade Minister says it’s time to invest in Turkey

Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan has invited US businessmen to invest in her country. The Minister said, “Our trade volume with the US has doubled to $ 20 billion over the last 10 years. Still, there are many opportunities to mobilize this figure”.

At the Ninth Investment Conference held by the Turkey-U.S. Business Council (TAIK) in New York Turkey’s Trade Minister said she wanted to see more US companies with their investments in Turkey. She added, “Now is the time to come and invest in our country”.

In his speech earlier in the same event,  Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey addressed American business people and expressed Turkey and USA would overcome the current “turbulent period” in their relations through their strategic partnership.

Erdoğan said, “Our strategic partnership, which has gone through difficulties so many times, will overcome this turbulent as well”.

Just to recall, Turkey and USA have been going through a troublesome period recently owing to the conflict caused by detention of American pastor in Turkey and negative statements made by TRUMP followed by some sanctions from the US side.
