Turkish Airlines makes record high profit in third quarter 2017
It is reported that THY (Turkish Airlines) has made the biggest operating profit in the 3rd quarter of the year in its history with USD 939 million. The company announced its third quarter financial results for the year 2017. Accordingly, thanks to the fiscal discipline and dynamic demand management practices implemented since the beginning of the year, it achieved operating profits of $ 939 million in the third quarter of this year and $ 956 million in the nine months of the year which are records in its history
Passenger and cargo revenues increased significantly in the third quarter of the year. Turkish Airlines’ total revenues increased by 23 percent to $ 3.6 billion compared to the same period of the previous year. Total income of the company during the nine month period rose by 8 percent to $ 8.2 billion.
The total revenues of the company whose passenger and cargo revenues both increased significantly in the third quarter of a successful year as compared to the same period of the previous year increased by 23 percent to US$ 3.6 billion. In this period, the Company’s profit before “interest, tax, depreciation and pre-rental profit” increased by nearly 90 percent compared to the previous year and reached USD 1.5 billion.
