Turkish exports to increase in January 2018 – BusinessTurkeyToday.com

It is reported that the total export figure of Turkey for January 2018 will reach USD 12 billion.  The target is set as an increase of around 15 percent in accordance with the improving economic indicators. Despite challenges and difficulties the country has incurred in the past years, economy seems to be moving on the right track.

Exports to comply with this positive outlook are expected to increase as well. Tourism on the other hand also reflects a very positive picture for 2018.

The main challenge for Turkey though to increase its exports substantially is to increase the share of high-value goods such as machinery, electronic goods, IT products, software etc as opposed to low-value products.

To recap Turkey is right on track to achieve its targets by 2023.
