It is reported that Pladis, affiliated to Yıldız Holding is planning to bid for $ 2 billion worth snack sector assets of Nestle in the USA, within the scope of international growth plans. Pladis officials are reported to have stated “We are examining Nestle’s snack sector assets in the US”.

Nestle’s US snack assets include brands that appeal to mass markets such as Butterfinger, Crunch and 100 Grand.

Experts believe this offer by Pladis suggests a change in the strategy that targets the upper-income group, which performs better than the mass brands.
