UEFA President Platini pays visit to Istanbul
Erdogan hosts UEFA President Platini
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan received UEFA President Michel Platini yesterday, three days before the UEFA is due to hold its annual congress in Istanbul with the participation of 53 chairmen of member federations.
Youth and Sports Minister Suat Kilic, Turkish Football Federation President Yildirim Demiroren, as well as UEFA Vice President Senes Erzik also attended the meeting at the Justice and Development Party (AKP) headquarters in Ankara.
Reportedly, Platini invited Erdogan to the annual UEFA Congress meeting, in which the problems related with football in Turkey will be discussed.
