White House: We do not support the referendum resolution of Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government

The White House administration announced that they did not support the decision of the Barzani administration, which took decision to hold and independence referendum in Iraq.

The White House announced that they did not support the referendum decision. It was emphasized that the referendum decision in the explanations would harm the fight against DEAŞ and cause instability in the regions cleared from the terrorist organization DEAŞ.

Earlier, Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government President Mesut Barzani had made a new statement about the referendum planned to be held on September 25th. Mesut Barzani, the head of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government had said “We rejected the proposals to postpone the referendum” and added “Do not listen to anyone, we are going to referendum”.
