105 soldiers killed in clashes on Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reported that 105 Armenian soldiers ha been killed in clashes on the border with Azerbaijan.

In his speech at the Armenian Parliament, Pashinyan gave information on the clashes on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Stating that they were asking for military assistance from Russia, Pashinyan said that they had appealed to their other partners to discuss conflicts with Azerbaijan at the United Nations Security Council.

Pashinyan also shared information about the losses in the Armenian army, saying, “According to current data, 105 soldiers have died so far.”

Azerbaijan announced that it was ready to hand over the bodies of about 100 Armenian soldiers who had died in the conflict that began with Armenia’s provocations.

CLASHES ON THE AZERBAIJANI-ARMENIAN BORDER

Intense clashes had begun between the military units of the two countries on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. .

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced on September 12, the Armenian army had conducted large-scale provocations in the directions of Dashkesen, Kelbajar, Lachin and Zangilan on the border with Azerbaijan, . Some positions and shelters of the Azerbaijani army on the border had been under continuous fire with weapons of different calibers, including mortars, and the Azerbaijani army had lost 50 martyrs in the attacks.

The Azerbaijani army retaliated to silence the firing points of the Armenian Armed Forces and prevent the expansion of the conflict, inflicting heavy losses on the Armenian troops.
