Turkey’s main opposition CHP’s current chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and former group deputy chairman and Yalova MP Muharrem İnce will be competing in an election that will take place during the party’s 18th extraordinary congress which started at ATO Congressium in capital Ankara on Friday.
Both candidates sat next to each other in the congress hall, and greeted the participants together.
A total of 1,218 delegates from across Turkey are expected to participate in the congress to elect the new chairman.
