The number of Israeli tourists has halved. After the start of the war, there has been a significant decrease in the number of tourists coming from Israel to Turkey. As the conflict between Israel and the resistance groups in the Gaza Strip of Palestine reaches 40 days, the impact of the war on visitor numbers is becoming apparent.

According to data released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of visitors to Turkey in October decreased by 57.26% compared to the same month last year, dropping from 81,000 to 31,000.

When cumulative figures for the January-October period are examined, the number of visitors increased by 6.63%, rising from 712,000 to 760,000 compared to the same period last year.

In October, Israel issued a travel warning for Turkey, urging its citizens to ‘leave Turkey immediately.’
