According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a 4.7 magnitude earthquake occurred near Aniye Island off the coast of Muğla. The earthquake, which occurred at 10:22 AM, was reported to be at a depth of 6.6 kilometers.

EARTHQUAKES IN SANTORINI, GREECE
In Santorini, one of the largest islands of the Cyclades Archipelago in southeastern Greece, a series of earthquakes in the past 24 hours had caused great panic in the region.
Under the leadership of Professor Efthimios Lekkas, President of the Greek Seismological Society, a committee had observed the seismic activity in the sea area between the islands of Thira and Amorgos over the last two 24-hour periods.
SCHOOL CLOSURES RECOMMENDED
The report mentioned that the seismic activity was unrelated to volcanic activity and was caused by underwater faults. It also included recommendations for local authorities, suggesting the closure of schools on Monday. The report also advised citizens to avoid crowded indoor environments and to refrain from entering or staying at Ammoudi ports and Fira Old Port.
