CHP Chairman Kemal KILICDAROGLU stated that he had a ‘father-son’ relationship with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem IMAMOGLU and said, ”It’s my duty to take care of him.” Recalling his words about Imamoğlu in the past KILICDAROGLU used the expression, “we will choke you”.
While mentioning what they would do when they came to power, KILICDAROGLU said, “Everyone should wait for Mr. Kemal (meaning himself).”
Istanbul’s Mayor Ekrem IMAMOGLU who was sentenced on the charge of ‘insulting a public official’ in recent days, attended the group meeting, as well. The two names entered the hall together.
Some statements by KILICDAROGLU was as follows:
*Turkey is going through a difficult process, but we will continue on our way with determination.
*We are six leaders together. We all think the same things. We will bring democracy to this country together.
*The leader (Mithat Sancar) of a party (HDP) that received six million votes cannot enter his own district presidency.
*I would also like to say something humanely to Erdogan. Passion is an insatiable beast. Don’t be a prisoner of your passion. Don’t give in to your passion.
