The amount paid from the budget to the owners of “Exchange Rate Protected Deposit” (KKM) became TL 23.3 billion in July. A total of 60.6 billion TL was paid to KKM owners from the budget in five months.

In July the amount paid to KKM owners from the central budget was TL 23.3 billion, according to the report. In June, this figure was realized as 16.1 billion TL. Thus, a total of TL 60.6 billion was paid to depositors within the scope of the CCP application.
IT IS ESTIMATED TO HAVE EXCEEDED 120 BILLION TL
The amount paid to KKM holders from the central budget does not include the amount paid by the Central Bank to those who exchange their foreign currency or gold and switch to KKM.
It is estimated that the amount paid to KKM owners exceeds 120 billion TL.
COST INCREASING EVERY MONTH
In March when the exchange rate differences in the KKM started to be paid to depositors for the first time, this figure was realized as 11.7 billion, and in April and May, when the acceleration in the dollar / TL was limited, payments of TL 4.5 billion and TL 4.8 billion were made, respectively. In June and July, the increase in the dollar / TL accelerated again and returned to the level of 18, the cost of KKM to the Treasury also continued to increase.
