Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (ISG) International Airport has launched direct flights to Dublin through Pegasus Airlines, further strengthening its European connections. As of October 30, 2024, Pegasus operates two weekly flights on the new Dublin route, marking the fifth international destination added from Sabiha Gökçen in October.
This new route also facilitates connections to North American cities from Istanbul, expanding the international flight network.
Direct flights to Dublin, the capital of Ireland, are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Known as a UNESCO “City of Literature,” Dublin has been home to iconic literary figures like James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, W.B. Yeats, and Samuel Beckett. With its cultural richness and events, the city remains a year-round attraction for travelers from Turkey interested in cultural and touristic experiences.
Pegasus’ Dublin route enables convenient connections to major North American cities such as New York, Boston, Chicago, and Toronto. ISG CEO Alp Er Tunga Ersoy noted that the new Dublin route will strengthen ties with Ireland and ease access to North America. He also highlighted that ISG connects 140 destinations in 51 countries, with 38 domestic and 102 international routes, contributing to Turkey’s trade and tourism.
