Banks have recently revised their deposit interest rates upwards, and with the increases, the monthly return on a 600,000 TL investment over 32 days has reached noteworthy levels.
Investors, especially those turning back to Turkish lira deposits due to the Central Bank’s recent interest rate hikes and new incentives encouraging a shift from foreign currency to TL, are now closely monitoring the most competitive rates in the market.
With the impact of these economic measures, interest rates for 32-day fixed-term TL deposits have surged to their highest levels in the past four months, with some banks now offering up to 53% annualized interest. Experts believe that the ongoing tight monetary policy, aimed at curbing inflation, will keep rates elevated for some time, making TL deposits an attractive option once again for those looking to earn a return on their savings.
Among the banks currently offering the highest rates, Fibabanka and Türkiye Finans stand out with the top yield of 53%, which would return approximately 23,698 TL on a 600,000 TL deposit in 32 days. Close behind are TEB and Alternatif Bank, each offering 52% interest, translating into a net profit of about 23,250 TL over the same period.
Other competitive offers include QNB Finansbank, Odea, and ING, all with 51% interest, yielding roughly 22,803 TL in net earnings. DenizBank and Getir Finans follow with 50%, producing about 22,356 TL in return.
Some of the more well-known traditional banks are slightly behind in terms of returns: Yapı Kredi offers 49%, Akbank 48.5%, Garanti BBVA 48%, and İş Bankası 39.5%. These rates equate to net returns between approximately 17,661 TL and 21,909 TL on a 600,000 TL deposit.
At the lower end of the spectrum, state-owned banks like Ziraat Bankası and Halkbank offer significantly more conservative returns—33% and 42%, respectively—yielding 14,755 TL and 18,779 TL. Vakıf Katılım’s profit share equivalent stands at 34.29%, returning around 15,332 TL.
Online platforms such as Enpara and N Kolay offer around 42.5% and 47%, respectively, which means about 19,003 TL to 21,015 TL in net profit for the same deposit amount.
In short, if you’re considering a 32-day term deposit of 600,000 TL, the most attractive net earnings—up to nearly 24,000 TL—are currently being offered by Fibabanka and Türkiye Finans, as they lead the pack with the highest annual interest rates.
