The BIST 100 index on the Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a gain of 3.04 percent. The BIST 100 index increased by 249.35 points compared to the previous closing, with a total trading volume of 129.1 billion Turkish Lira.
The banking index gained 3.26 percent, and the holding index increased by 2.26 percent. While all sector indices rose, the financial leasing and factoring sector performed the best, with a gain of 6.97 percent.
According to reports, global markets continue to be focused on the conflicts between Israel and Hamas, and the strengthening expectations of nearing the end of “hawkish” monetary policies worldwide are affecting asset prices.
Analysts have noted that from a technical perspective, the BIST 100 index has resistance at the 8,500 level and support at 8,200 points for tomorrow.
