The entrance fee for foreign visitors to Patara Beach, operated by SICPA, has been increased by 77.7% in Euros.
The ‘Beach entrance card’ sold to foreign visitors at Patara Beach has been increased from 45 to 80 euros. with the 77.7 percent increase made to the card and “given the right to enter 10 times”, a tourist’s single entrance to the beach has increased to 280 TL.
Local business owners complain that the rising prices are driving away long-term tourists, negatively impacting their business. They argue that the 77.7% price hike in Euros is harming the local economy and suggest that a different pricing policy should be implemented for long-term visitors and resident foreigners.
