EPDK announces 38 percent increase in electricity prices

A 38 percent increase in electricity prices has been announced for residential and private sector consumers.

The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) announced a price increase in electricity tariffs effective from July 1. The information provided by the institution indicated that the increase was due to rising energy production costs.

According to the information given, the price increase is as follows: 38% for the residential subscriber group, 30% for the agricultural activities subscriber group, 38% for the lower tier of the public and private services sector subscriber group, and 20% for the higher tier.

Following the increase, the cost of 100 kWh of electricity used in homes has been recorded as 207.23 TL.
