In their first match of Group F at the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024), Turkey defeated Georgia 3-1.
The match at Dortmund BVD Stadium saw Turkey take a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute with a spectacular goal from Mert Müldür. Two minutes after the goal, Kenan Yıldız’s goal was cancelled for offside. Georgia equalized in the 32nd minute with a goal from Mikautadze.
Turkey went ahead again in the 65th minute with a magnificent goal from Arda Güler. Kerem Aktürkoğlu’s goal in the 90+7th minute sealed the final score.
Towards the end of the match, the Turkish National Team’s goal faced significant threats. It must be acknowledged that Georgia put up a commendable challenge as well.
In the second match of Group F, Turkey will face Portugal on June 22.
