Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced the latest data on the corona virus outbreak in Turkey. Sunday (August 2nd) table shows that 18 people have died in the last 24 hours, resulting in 5,728 casualties. The number of cases also increased by 987 to 232,856.
Minister Koca shared his evaluations on the current data on his Twitter account. He said, ” in the last 3 days the rate of pneumonia remained the same in the provinces with increased number of new patients. Our number of “seriously ill” across the country appears to be under control”.
He went on to say, “However, the lack of measures on Eid al-Adha and the holiday is alarming in terms of the consequences that will emerge in the coming days.”
