Galata Tower, one of the most significant structures in Istanbul’s skyline and added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2013, has been stunningly captured by an FPV (First-Person View) drone. These special recordings showcase the historical texture and unique architecture of Galata Tower.

Constructed by the Genoese as part of the Galata Walls, Galata Tower has maintained its grandeur since the 14th century. Over time, the structure has been damaged by earthquakes and fires, and it was most recently closed to visitors in February for earthquake reinforcement and exterior restoration work. Since May, Galata Tower has once again been welcoming visitors, and it was captured by an FPV drone.

The drone footage, gliding over the tower, highlights the panoramic viewing balcony on the top floor and its views. The footage also showcases the historical and cultural beauty surrounding Galata Tower, featuring views of the Golden Horn (Haliç) and the historic streets of Karaköy as the FPV drone approaches the tower. The exterior shots of the tower display its architectural magnificence in all its glory.
