Starting from noon, heavy rain is expected, particularly in Istanbul. Temperatures across the country will drop by up to 10 degrees, with rain forecasted for the entire week. Additionally, snowfall is expected in the Eastern Anatolia region. After a prolonged period of above-average temperatures, colder and rainy weather will prevail starting from Wednesday. Meteorology Weather Forecast Expert Yusuf Ziya Yavuz stated that temperatures nationwide would drop by up to 10 degrees, and the entire week will be rainy.
Yavuz noted that rain would start in western regions tomorrow morning and continue throughout the next five days across much of the country. He mentioned, “While rain in western regions is expected to be in the form of thunderstorms, a new rainy weather system from the north starting from Wednesday will lead to a decrease in temperatures and the occurrence of sleet and snow in the highlands of the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions.”
STARTING WEDNESDAY TEMPERATURES WILL FALL
He added, “After the rain in Eastern Anatolia over the weekend, it will leave the country and a new system will occur. Currently, temperatures are above seasonal norms, but starting from Wednesday, decreases will begin. Temperatures will be normal on Thursday and Friday, but will drop below seasonal norms over the weekend. According to initial evaluations, March will come with a drastic change. A rapid temperature drop of around 10 degrees nationwide may be observed. People tend to feel comfortable when they see warm weather during seasonal transitions, but they shouldn’t be deceived by the arrival of spring. It’s important to pay attention to the weather conditions starting from Wednesday.”
