Storm Warnings Across the Country
Turkey’s Meteorological Service (MGM) has released its latest weather forecast for Wednesday, October 29, 2025, warning citizens across multiple provinces of strong rain, snowfall, and powerful winds. A yellow code weather alert has been issued for Artvin, Rize, Giresun, and Trabzon due to the risk of intense rainfall.
Widespread showers are expected in Afyonkarahisar, Adana, Hatay, Isparta, Konya, Sivas, Bolu, Düzce, Sinop, Zonguldak, Amasya, Rize, Samsun, Trabzon, Malatya, Diyarbakır, and Siirt, while Erzurum, Kars, and Van will likely see snow and sleet. In the Mediterranean, Antalya will stay warm at 29°C under mostly cloudy skies, ideal for late-season tourism. Isparta, Adana, Osmaniye, Hatay, and Kahramanmaraş may experience thunderstorms, particularly near the İskenderun Gulf, where rainfall could be locally intense.
Central Anatolia
The central region will be cloudy with scattered showers, especially around Konya and Sivas. Morning fog is expected in Ankara and Eskişehir, while Sivas could see stronger rainfall early in the day.
Black Sea Region
The Western Black Sea will face widespread rain, while Ordu, Tokat, and the Eastern Black Sea — including Rize, Trabzon, and Giresun — could experience strong downpours and even storms along the coast. Winds along the Black Sea coastline may reach 50–80 km/h, creating rough sea conditions.
Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia
In the Eastern provinces, including Erzurum, Kars, and Van, precipitation will turn into snow and sleet at higher altitudes. Malatya, Diyarbakır, Batman, and Siirt will see occasional showers, with moderate temperatures ranging from 18°C to 25°C.
