After inspecting Antalya Airport, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu shared his assessments. He stated that the expansion and renovation investment would raise Antalya Airport’s capacity from 35 million to 82 million.
Works at Antalya Airport to Be Completed by the End of 2025
Uraloğlu stated that the expansion and renovation investment, which would raise Antalya Airport’s capacity from 35 million to 82 million, was set to be completed by the end of the year. “We are carrying out the work in three phases. We have completed over 90% of the first phase. Once done, we will increase our terminal capacity from 35 million to 82 million. By the end of the year, the construction will be fully complete, and we aim to open it for service at the beginning of next year,” he said.
“A New Tower Will Be Constructed”
Minister Uraloğlu added that all three phases would be completed within the airport’s 25-year operational period, concluding his remarks as follows:
“A new tower will be constructed, allowing the airport to fully utilize its capacity. This investment is essential for Antalya and our region, as Antalya is now one of Turkey’s flagship cities, hosting around 30% of all tourists visiting the country. In this regard, the airport is invaluable.”
