In addition to five-star hotels and luxury accommodation options, the mountain now offers a protected private camping area designed specifically for caravan guests. The site includes shared kitchen facilities, hot water, laundry and drying machines, and other practical amenities — combining comfort with adventure.
A New Accommodation Option for Ski Lovers
For visitors who enjoy spending time close to nature and discovering the beauty of the places they stay, the caravan area has quickly become a preferred option. Ski lovers can spend the day on the slopes and return to their own caravans in the evening.
A dedicated space with capacity for 26 caravans has been created. Officials state that while both mountain and city hotels are fully booked during the winter season, there is also a growing group of more free-spirited travelers who prefer to spend their winter holidays in caravans — just as they do in summer.
The project was launched in response to increasing demand. Local authorities acted quickly to establish the new caravan area, which has already attracted significant interest.
Guests arriving with their caravans ski throughout the day and then return to their mobile homes to relax. The site includes 26 caravan spots, security at the entrance, and a comfortable environment designed for a smooth stay. Shared spaces feature a kitchen, refrigerator, laundry and drying machines. Electricity, water, and full sewage connections are available, ensuring caravan guests can stay comfortably without sacrificing convenience.
The caravan camping area began operating this year, with a daily accommodation fee of 250 Turkish lira.

A longtime visitor who first came to Erciyes decades ago noted how dramatically the facilities have improved over the years. Having embraced the caravan lifestyle in recent years, the traveler emphasized the importance of practical amenities such as laundry facilities, describing them as essential for extended stays.
Clean kitchens, hot water, well-maintained common areas, 24-hour snow and ice control efforts, and organized waste disposal areas were highlighted as major advantages. The visitor also praised the well-maintained slopes and the strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety.
Another tourist who traveled from Istanbul explained that they try to visit every year. Previously staying in a regular parking area, they found the newly designated caravan park to be a major improvement. The separate space offers better security, more peace and quiet, and a more relaxing atmosphere. Their routine is simple: ski, return, rest — and repeat.
