In the women’s 54 kg semifinal of the boxing branch at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, our national athlete Hatice Akbaş defeated her South Korean opponent Im Ae-ji and advanced to the final. Hatice Akbaş has achieved a great success, guaranteeing at least a silver medal.
Dominating her opponent from start to finish, Hatice Akbaş won the match with a score of 3-2, securing her place in the final and guaranteeing a silver medal. The national boxer will face China’s Yuan Chang in the final on Thursday, August 8th.
As a nation, we are hopefully expecting her to win the gold medal.
