TARIM KREDI markets (Agricultural Credit markets) which had made discounts upon instructions from Erdogan on August 15, have introduced new price hikes after 33 days.
While price increases from needle to thread came, the citizens were confused about where to find affordable products. When the prices in Agricultural Credit Cooperatives (TARIM KREDI), referred to as affordable markets, were equalized with other prices in the market, the citizens who have a hard time making ends meet were in despair.
Upon the instructions of the President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan, it was announced that there would be a big discount in Agricultural Credit Cooperative stores. Citizens who flocked to said stores on August 15 but were not able to find the discount they hoped for, have now (in 33 days) encountered price hikes in many products, to the contrary.
Many of the products which were said to have seen discounts at referred time, are observed to have incurred price increases, since August 15.
While there was no change in the price of red lentils, sunflower oil and chickpeas, there was a discount on the price of black olives and green lentils. In the cooperative stores, there was an increase in the price of many products within the 33-day period. A reporter from SOZCU newspaper viewed the changed labels of the same brand, the same weight of the products in the Agricultural Credit Cooperative stores within 33 days.
