The Central Bank intervened in TL dollar rate on Friday for the third time. The dollar soon dropped to 13.70 levels and returned to 13.90 as it landed.
On the other hand, the dollar started the first working day of the week at 13.85 TL. However, the dollar saw 14.00 TL at 09:34.
At 09:40, the dollar was trading at 14.037 and the euro at 15.84.
It is noted that the Central Bank may make another intervention if the dollar fluctuation continues, while the markets have given their attention to the interest rate meeting. At the meeting on Thursday (December 16) the Central Bank’s Monetary Policy Board will make its final interest rate decision of the year – which is considered to be very critical for the dollar TL rate.
