Passengers Refusing Physical Searches at Airports Will Not Be Allowed on Planes

According to a new bill proposed by the AK Party in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), physical searches at airports will become mandatory. Passengers who refuse physical searches will not be permitted to board their flights.

The 30-article bill, which includes various regulations in the field of transportation, was submitted by the AK Party Group to the TBMM Presidency.

As reported by Uğur Duyan of Yeni Şafak, AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler stated that the bill aims to enhance the quality of life in society and contribute to the country’s development. According to the proposal, if the devices at airport entrances are insufficient, passengers will be subjected to physical searches. Those who refuse will not be allowed to board their flights.
